If you wanna know what happened in Lost Season 1, then let me explain to you what happened.
Jack Shephard slowly awakens, taking in the scene around him, trying to figure out where he is. Bruised, sore, and disoriented he catches a glimpse of a dog running through the bamboo trees. Feeling in his pockets while attempting to remember where he is, he finds a bottle of vodka. Realization of his whereabouts starting to sink in, he makes himself get up and pushes his way through the abundant vegetation and tree branches.
He finds himself on a beach and all around him are injured people. The survivors of the crash of Oceanic Flight 815. Jack, who is a well renowned surgeon, jumps in and starts treating the worst injured in the best fashion he can. He asks the others who are not badly injured for help. One man is pinned under some wreckage and Jack releases him.
He enlists help from a fellow passenger named Hurley and they watch over another passenger, Claire. Jack administers CPR to Rose, another survivor who is unconscious. Jack slips away for a moment after helping those he could. He meets another survivor, Kate who helps him stitch a cut on his back. She tells him their plane broke apart in mid-air. Other survivors slowly emerge.
There are Michael, Walt, Sawyer, Boone, Sayid, Charlie, and Shannon. As they all get together, in shock and traumatized, they discuss what to do with the bodies lying around them.
While Sayid gets a cleanup started, Hurley finds food in the wreckage of the plane’s galley and passes it out to the survivors. They set up a makeshift camp for the night and try to settle down as best they can. From the jungle loud roaring noises and crashing trees keep the exhausted survivors on pins and needles most of the night.
When morning comes Jack proposes looking for the plane’s cockpit in hopes of finding the transceiver to try and send a distress signal. Kate remembers seeing smoke coming from deeper in the jungle. With hopes that this is the cockpit remains, Jack, Charlie, and Kate go looking for the site.
Not far into their search they are deluged by rain. Finding the plane against a tree they climb in and find the pilot who is awakening from a concussion. Charlie finds the plane’s bathroom and the pilot tells Jack and Kate that the plane’s radio contact went out 6 hours into the flight and while turning back for Fiji, hit turbulence and crashed.
The pilot estimates they were 1000 miles off course.
The eerie howling noises heard the night before start again and the pilot gets up to investigate. He is grabbed by something unseen and pulled through the window of the cockpit. The others grab the transceiver and run for their lives. Escaping the unknown, Charlie falls and Jack stops to help him. Claire runs on and when Jack and Charlie catch up to her the first thing they see is the body of the pilot, covered in blood, hanging from a treetop.
